It is vitally important to check nozzles that might be plugged along with your pipes. These should be inspected and cleaned on a regular basis if needed. It is important to have good water distribution over the entire tower. Nozzles, whether in up-spray or down-spray mode, should be checked to see if they are spaced and operating effectively. You should always make sure nothing is damaged or missing. Cleaning your nozzles goes a long way to extending life. It cannot be emphasized enough that good even water distribution is the “life blood” of your system and needs to be maintained at all times. Make sure your Flow Control Valves are functioning properly so you have the right amount of water (GPM) going to your tower.
Open and distribution basin areas need to be looked at often to insure the inlet pipes and manifolds are functioning and in good shape. It always helps to make sure that any sagging and low spots on the floor are corrected when pipes and valves that are not supported well are causing issues. Keeping your basins clean, sealed, and structurally sound goes a long way to make sure you are carrying the right amount of water to your system.
